From humble beginnings of mowing lawns all over the North Shore of Long Island, I found myself looking at a landscape architects plan and falling in love with the process of design.
“Failing to plan is planning to fail.”
I decided to get serious and attend Farmingdale State College earning a science degree in ornamental horticulture - landscape development, with an emphasis on landscape construction and design. From there, I worked at top notch firms designing and building properties for high-end homes and estates. Then I found myself living on Long Island’s South Fork and falling in love with the Hamptons. Over time, I noticed there was a ‘sameness’ in the residential landscape woven throughout the fabric of this beautiful rural land. I wondered what it would be like to see a more naturalistic theme on the properties. I continued to work for the best of the best landscape firms continuingly discovering the dynamic environments found in the Hamptons.
Then it happened…
Calmness,
followed the organized chaos of starting my own family and finally settling down. One beautiful spring day I went to work in our home garden and found these little guys…
The Message,
became clear - to start a company that embraces Nature’s designs while maintaining virtually no impact on our environment and on the miraculous life within all of it. Nature already has a perfect design, so why resist it?
Our Culture,
was born. My daughter will be crawling around this yard soon, so the decision was made to utilize low impact organic practices as much as possible for the benefit of the Earth and our next generation of families to come!
We Aspire…
to capture natures essence and expand upon it while using cutting edge practices. We created landscapes for historic homes in Southampton, modern barn homes in Sagaponack, waterfront homes in Springs and even helped build the mini-golf course at CMEE in Bridgehampton.
However, we stay humbled by natures sustained perfection! Let’s let nature take the lead and not ignore an already perfectly set table. Rather than wasting resources we build on what is there, remaining mindful of sustainability while upholding awareness of our clients needs.
We are a full service landscape design, build and maintain company with over 25 years in the Green Industry, helping develop high end properties all over the Gold Coast and the East End of Long Island, NY. Today the journey continues as we work hard to provide the most value to our clients while caring for our lands so our families can continue to thrive. We are always researching new viable native plants or near native plants, traveling to nurseries to find the best materials for our clients’ needs and we continue our education - so we never stop learning. Long Island has a diverse ecosystem and the East End is almost its own dynamic organism unto itself! Our passions are a New Earth and Family, and they both deserve the best at all times.
